Some concern over the potential funding for a new stadium in Oakland for the Raiders.

They have probably the worst stadium in the NFL, but it does puzzle me why teams with billionaire owners and that make a fortune have their stadiums funder by the general public.

Twickenham is a pain to get to and a dump of a venue. I was going to suggest to my mate that we skip those games and just do the two at Wembley.

Twickenham a dump?

Because they can.

The ground is okay, but it is awful trying to get a train from there afterwards.

Yep, its a horrible concrete lump*. Also, despite being in London, it somehow manages to be without any decent transport links.

(* with its claustrophobic spirals/concourses, to me it resembles the Oakland Coliseum or maybe old Yankee Stadium)

Forecast temperature for the Bears/Packers game this Sunday is 1F (wind chills in the negative teens), which would make it the coldest game ever played in Chicago.

Shame it's not the main Sky game. I love watching Snow Bowls. It's a symptom of how shit we are that even our matches against Green Bay are no longer guaranteed telly picks.

It finished up being a great game.

Packers pull level in the head to head for the first time since 1933.

4 turnovers by the Bears, so amazing we came so close. Think Rodgers carrying an injury helped and the Packers' WRs seemed to struggle a bit at times.

Packers 1 behind the Lions now, with 2 games to play.

Raiders clinch a playoff spot

First time since 2002, which was the first NFL season that I watched pretty much in full.

I don't want to make it seem like a long time ago, but Tim Brown, Jerry Rice and Rich Gannon were playing....

I've been following the Raiders for so long that in 1982 I had a Marcus Allen jersey.
I'm pretty confident that there weren't many of those in the UK back then  :)
