I was in Connetticut on business during the draft two years ago. It's really hard to think of the nearest equivalent in the UK.  Probably the Eurovision Song Contest !

As expected, the two QBs went one and two

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_NFL_draft

As I saw mentioned on Twitter, you can tell this draft is mainly people born in 1994 when it features a Shaq and a Keanu

Nervy about Da Bears pick and not sure we needed to trade up, but potentially a pass rusher to get to the QB.

Had a feeling the Packers would go DT rather than ILB & they pretty much had their pick of them. Lions were always gonna go OL and Vikings got a big WR

Surprised Lions didn't go WR.

Was on about Laquon Treadwell, although I do like the fact that Boehringer's German team was called:-

The Schwabisch Hall Unicorns

Pleased with signing Hoyer as a Backup to Cutler. Cutler never plays every game in a season and Hoyer is a pretty good backup.

Just thought I mention about Pro-Bowl and current Super Bowl champion Aqib Talib has been shot and has a minor leg injury, in an incident at a nightclub in Dallas.

The number 1 suspect seems to be....Aqib Talib. He may have shot himself.

Given their quarterback situation, that may be the second time they've shot themselves in the foot this summer.

Seems like it. I mentioned him on the NFL UK Forum and was surprised to learn that he did play again after the gunshot wound and time spent in prison.

The NFL has a say in the design of the new Spurs stadium

http://www.espn.co.uk/football/tottenham-hotspur/story/2894025/nfl-has-significant-input-into-new-tottenham-stadium-daniel-levy

Quote
The ground -- adjacent to Spurs' current White Hart Lane home -- will feature facilities for both sports, including a retractable grass football pitch with an artificial NFL surface underneath and two sets of changing rooms.

A 10-person delegation of NFL officials has visited the site twice in the past week and Levy said they were having a significant input into the construction process.
