Not much point in carrying on with Cutler massively-underperforming.

I'm at the 'if we lose I'm not that bothered' stage of the season, particularly as it may help the Packers to finish 2nd in the Division and lose home advantage.

Fallen out of interest in NFL in recent years, being a Raiders fan does that. What I was wonder is, with no relegation and being 0-10, what is the incentive to win the last few games? Why not lost the set and get first draft pick, it's not as if relegation is a threat?

I think the rubbish teams tend to play a few youngsters and fringe players when they've no chance of the play-offs. So from their perspective, they want to play well to impress or they know they might be out of work the next year. Players are unlikely to care about helping the team get a good draft pick to increase their chances of being replaced.

I'd be up for introducing relegation though. Expand to London, LA, Toronto and San Antonio. Have a top league of 24 teams, split into four divisions of six teams, AFC East/West/NFC East/West. Lower division of twelve teams split into League 2 East and League 2 West.

Promotion and relegation to include end of season playoffs played on Thursday, Friday and Monday nights and in the bye week before the Superbowl, cancelling the tedious Probowl.

Oh yeah, I didn't say it was going to happen. I just think it would be ace. A second division might be a good way to break in an expansion team too... so there's less chance of them getting battered every week.

Massive choke by the Eagles since Thanksgiving.

But they could very well finish the season with 10 wins and not make the playoffs while Atlanta or Carolina do with 7 wins.

If you believe the Pete Rozelle conspiracy theories, that is the price the Eagles pay for having one of the most stable season ticket and TV markets. The don't "need" a Super Bowl win to make the NFL more money. Fans who turn up through thick and thin are mugs.....

Raiders win again, just doing enough to avoid a prime draft pick. I didn't realise they and the Bills have the longest run without a post season.
