Just your standard 79 yards throw, catch, fumble**, fumble, recovery, 99 yard return for a Touchdown; all in the one play

http://deadspin.com/receivers-blunder-turns-78-yard-td-catch-into-100-yard-1656480872

(** well, technically it was a fumble but the player deliberately dropped the ball)

Oregon dropped the ball a yard from their own end zone?  Not sure how that was allowed to stand, a totally bizarre passage of play.

Having watched NFL for over 20 years, that, is ridiculous and one of the reasons I enjoy the sport.

Had the day off yesterday so that I could watch the Bears-Packers game.

Well it was close....

How can Jordy Nelson be wide open like that on a 3rd and 11?? And then the same thing happens again about 3 plays later. Mind-bogglingly bad Defence.

The Offence isn't much better, they're being paid 3 times as much as the Defence and have some top players, but they're just not trying. Jeffery looked like he couldn't be bothered all game and Cutler just takes too long to get rid of the ball. Brandon Marshall was trying at least.

Apart from that and the interceptions, we were ace   :o    We should get an excellent draft pick.

I'm thinking Lions game for next year at Wembley.

Agreed, The Lions game looks the tastiest out of them. On the back of that, the International series has allowed me to complete a 20year ambition of seeing the Cowboys live and they didnt disappoint. Romo looked mobile, offensive line was superb and Dez Bryant made my year by putting on a one man show through their defence. Went to an American diner called Stax, met a fan who had travelled over from NYC, genuinely a really good day out - even my non NFL watching other half said she would go again next year.

The only down side was the final quarter being a damp squib due to the lameness of the Jags, they really are quite poor. Having said that, they had a really big fan base for a poor team (reminded me of the Villa!) which has obviously been built by playing over here every year. Is the talk of them moving the franchise over here or starting a fresh one? It would be a shame for them to have put in all this work only to have a new franchise started and blow them out of the water

I think the talk is of the Jaguars moving to the UK (well London) and changing their name. Hopefully to the Aston Villans.

Mind you, they're always on about moving a team to Los Angeles too, maybe someone like the Buffalo Bills.

Any idea when the 2015 NFL tickets in London go on sale? I was hoping to buy some on Friday, but can't see them online yet.

Jags and Bills have both got long-term stadium deals in place. Raiders will move I think. Probably back to LA but maybe London otherwise.

I've not posted anything here since the game for fear of sounding like I was rubbing salt in the wounds.

I recorded the game and watched it in quarters yesterday. Bloody channel 4 cut the last 5 minutes off which could have been annoying.

I watched Cutler and both he and Rodgers hold onto it for quite a bit of time. The difference is Rodger's mobility. Rodgers doesn't keep still whilst Cutler essentially stands still whilst waiting for a play to open up.

I thought Clay was our MVP playing on the inside. I thought he was outstanding.

I'm not sure how far we can go this season. We're really poor against the rush and if we do get into the post-season, we'll inevitably come up against one of the best.

Raiders have already held meeting with San Antonio.

Bills have just been sold to the bloke who owns the Sabres, so they're not going anywhere.

Keep an eye on the Rams as a possible relocating team. Their lease is up at the EdJoDo and STL has always been more of a Baseball city.

The Jags have an out from their lease if the lose money. However, I don't think that it is possible to lose money in the NFL.

Bit late, but I have to say I really enjoyed the Cowboys/Jags game at Wembley.

I went to the first one in 2007 but this was my (fourth) chance to see the team I've followed since their 1-15 year with a rookie Troy Aikman.

My lad loved it, a definite convert. There was more excitiment in the pre-game than anything at Villa Park for the last few years! My only gripe is that I'd like to hear something other than an operatic version of our National Anthem. The SSB always sounds incredible in my opinion.

The whole game could have been so different if Brandon Weeden had played well the week before because I felt sure they wouldn't risk Romo with a bye week coming up too.

So obviously for us, it was great to see him, Murray, Bryant and Witten all having big games and racking up some impressive numbers and props to Special teams who might have changed the game with the early fumble recovery.

I reckon everyone around us was aware that Kicker Dan Bailey was a Villa fan by the time the game was over!
