Wow, Seattle's Gabby just took off and scored! Second half, third quarter, whatever, what a start. Percy Harvin can shift a bit.

Not really, his stats are still good in the game.  Seattle's defence is just ridiculously good.

Peyton's stats were good all season. However, his passes were very wobbly at times and that cost him last night.

The Seahawks set out their defensive stall by winning the toss and opting to kick off to the Broncos. I'm not sure what went wrong with that first snap.

BTW, the Seahawks scored after 12 seconds at the start of each half.

NJ Transit is laughable at the best of times, for yesterdays game, they only started service to Meadowlands 3.5 hours before the game and only every 20 minutes, so 3 trains an hour, genius.

I know it sort of worked out last night, but what would be the tactical purpose of letting the other side attack first?

As far as I can tell you don't have a set number of attacks in a quarter, so surely it makes sense to go first and try to get some points on the board?

It's normally so you can have the first attack in the second half when you have a better idea of how the game is going.

Also you can manage the clock so you have the final attack of the first half knowing you will get the ball first after the break.

Correct.  Teams with strong defence normally do this, see: Steelers, Ravens.

It was a fake Super Bowl advert. Here is an article mentioning it which also covers all the adverts that the NFL banned from a pro-gun advert to a Native American campaign to persuade Washington to change their nickname.
