In fairness to Ditka, they did give Payton a number of carries inside the opposition's ten yards, it just wasn't his day. Buddy Ryan, the defensive coach, deserves as much praise as Ditka for producing the '85 Bears.

I think the problem was that Payton carried a very poor Bears team for a number of years and even in 1985, he was far and away the main player in our offense.

It was felt that he really deserved a touchdown in the Superbowl, for all those years of shite that he put up with.

Neither defence covered themselves in glory, we looked better with McCown at QB, as Cutler was having an off day. I've been disappointed with our defensive line this season, although we've got a lot of injuries at the DT position.

Can't say I mind Washington, but they should change their name.
