Not sure if this is an interception or a fumble recovery

One of the most surprising upsets in recent years yesterday as Texas A&M defeated Allerbamer.

This has really thrown the BCS matchup wide open. Notre Dame now have to favourites for one spot, probably against Oregon.

In the NFL, there's also currently a couple of upsets in the offing as the Falcons are behind against the Saints and the New York Football Giants are losing to the Bungles.

Its difficult being a Raiders fan (new motto; "Commitment to Excrement"). Yesterday's performance was a new low.

For all NFL fans and Raiders fans in particular, I recommend an ESPN documentary currently available on Sky Anytime; "The Marinovich Project".

At the time, I thought that Todd was just a waster who failed to make the most of his talent. However, I've now got a new level of respect for the guy after seeing what he went through to make it to the NFL and how he's eventually got his life back on track. He's even been able to maintain a relationship with his father, which I'm not sure that I could have done in those circumstances.

The BCS is now even more of a mess.

Oregon lost to Stanford yesterday, which although an upset, is at least one that could have been seen coming.

However, as for Baylor putting 52 points on Kanas State, that one came right out of the blue.

Notre Dame now look like a lock for the BCS game if they beat USC next week, maybe against whoever wins the SEC (which'll probably come down to a Georgia v Alabama championship game)

I had a code for a free week of access to NFL's "Gamepass", so I thought I'd try it tonight.

Wow, Gamepass must be a real system hog, my laptop got so hot that I had to log off.

The PC plugged into my main TV is only an XP system with 3gb of RAM, so there's no way that'll handle it.

Therefore, I'm back to watching Redzone on Sky. Redzone is great on days like this where several games have reached the 4th quarter with only one score between the teams.

Yeah started watching Red Zone last week. Really enjoyable. Not as enjoyable as seeing the Packers beat the Lions late today, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Lions - Texans game was cracking - both teams tried their best to throw it away. I can't for the life of me think why the Lions twice decided to try and pass on 3rd downs in field goal range, rather than just trying to gain a yard or 2 on the run and ended up getting sacked back out of field goal range both times. That said, rough call for that touchdown to count, he was clearly down.

Lions should be out of play-off contention now really.

For those interested in football (not proper football) north of the border the Toronto Argonauts beat the Calgary Stampeders in the 100th Grey Cup yesterday, Toronto deserved it and played good stuff plus Calgary choked, shame!

And so they should. The Argos were playing at home.

I meant to record the game but forgot.

Hopefully ESPNAmerica will be showing a replay later in the week

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher fatally shot his girlfriend Saturday, then drove to Arrowhead Stadium and committed suicide in front of his coach and general manager.

Today's Chiefs game will go ahead but the planned protest against the ownership/coaching has been cancelled

A cancelled game (calling it a tie) would have been ok I feel as neither team will make the play-offs so therefore immaterial.

Hard for KC players and staff to focus I'd think especially if some witnessed it.
