They've given them a number six pick, two second-round picks and their first round picks for the next two years. That is insane just to trade up to get a rookie quarter-back. That's less than the Bears traded to the Broncos to get Jay Cutler who had already been to a Pro Bowl. Although, admittedly, that has had somewhat mixed results.

There's talk that the Broncos may sign Manning and then trade the Son of God to Jacksonville.

The talk seems to be about them having the pair of them. I suppose Tebow could learn a thing or two from Manning. Like how to throw the ball, for instance.

Manning's talking to the Cards today and the Fins tomorrow, apparently.

Does whoever gets him have to give players and/or picks to the Colts?

Nope, the Colts cut him. If they'd have hung on any longer they'd have owed him a $28m roster bonus.

Mario Williams signs for he Bills

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7690355/buffalo-bills-agree-six-year-deal-mario-williams

Megatron gets megabucks

http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/post/_/id/39502/132-million-for-calvin-johnson-absolutely

However, remember that NFL contracts are not for guaranteed money. I believe that the guaranteed element of Calvin Johnson's deal is only around £60m

Oi, Redsox! I rely on you for my off-season updates. Why did you not tell me Da Bears had signed Brandon Marshall? Quite excited by that deal. Hopefully he will bring out the best in Cutler.

I only check the regular announcements not the police feed

I didn't know he'd played for Cincinnati?

He's only got 6 or 7 arrests so far, so I don't think that the Bungles would be interested yet

Mario Manningham has left the New York Football Giants and signed with the 49ers, where he'll join Randy Moss who signed for San Fran earlier in the week

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7704416/2012-nfl-free-agency-mario-manningham-san-francisco-49ers-agree-two-year-deal.

Apparently the 49ers are now one of the teams looking at signing Peyton Manning.

I could see a receiving corp of Manningham, Moss and Crabtree being appealing to Manning.

Yes, pleased to see that Tebow will only be a back-up.

Or traded

I'd like to see Elway trade him to Oakland so that we can see how his holier than thou act plays with Raider Nation

Seriously though, how about Jacksonville. They're one of the few teams that don't sell out, St Tim is from the area and he'd put bums in seats.

Meanwhile, Matt Flynn has left Green Bay for a guaranteed $10m in Seattle. That's $5m for each of his career starts to date.

ESPN is now saying that there's a hitch in the deal.

Shame, I was looking forwards to seeing a story about St Tim staggering out of a Joisey bar at 3am with two transvestite hookers.
