Watched Detroit Lions v New Orleans Saints last night. I'm pretty new to the sport, but brushed up on the rules on NFLUK, which explained them really well.

Enjoyed it. Detroit's defence looked like it'd be too aggressive for New Orleans and by half time Detroit were winning 14-10. Fell asleep near start of the second half, it was about 2:30am! Woke up to find that New Orleans won in the end.

Used the team picker tool on NFLUK for the laugh. Apparently I fit the profile of an Oakland Raiders fan...

Oh dear.

Told ya

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=320108007

How the feck can Tebow win the game with an 80 yd TD pass ?
He's had whole games this season with barely more passing yards than that.

I'm still hoping that it'll be revealed that he's got three illegitimate kids by different mothers. If there's one thing that I dislike more than a holier-than-thou religious nutter, its a one who's good at what he does.

I'm not upset about losing to that right-wing wally really, as I think we would have got whacked next week anyway.

Way too many injuries to key players for the Steelers to make a run this year.

Steelers D did not do well for my fantasy team! Redman had a decent game in the end.

I wondered why he hadn't posted on the Suarez thread for a few hours.

The whole front 3 were backups last night.  Plus Woodley only played half the snaps, Clark was not allowed to play.

Despite all this, they still had the #1 overall defence this year.   The good news is, the offence is relatively young, so if they can get healthy for next year, they will once again, be a force.

LSU v 'Bama in the BCS National Championship game tonight.

Who's ya got ?

A one point victory for 'Bama would really screw things up for the voters.

EDIT - Bama ended up with a surprisingly comfortable victory, so the BCS lucked out again.

That was some finish to the Saints at 49ers game.

However, I'm not sure why one of the 49ers assistant coaches ran up to Harbaugh and got him to call timeout before Brees' final play.

Great to see that the Tebow bandwagon was finally derailed by the Golden Boy & Co.

Diddums, the Packers are out.

Just need the Patriots to lose to the Ravens now and I can enjoy the Superbowl.

There's rumours that Peyton Manning is going to retire.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7476563/actor-rob-lowe-causes-stir-peyton-manning-retirement-tweets

In his mid-thirties and after three neck surgeries; he'd be daft to come back in my opinion.
