Dolphins fire coach Tony Sparano

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7345810/miami-dolphins-4-9-mark-fire-coach-tony-sparano

I'm not sure whether he was fired because Miami have only won four games so far this season or whether he was fired because they have won four games this season and have thus failed to "Suck for Luck"

Didn't realise their record now. Isn't it four wins from their last four/five games though? I suggest the latter as even if they don't lose another they are out of the running now.

How do our Bears fans feel about Sam Hurd ?

http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/7360493/chicago-bears-cut-sam-hurd

Quote
Hurd was arrested Wednesday night after authorities said he agreed to buy a kilogram, or 2.2 pounds, of cocaine from an undercover agent. A criminal complaint says Hurd, a sixth-year player in his first year with the Bears, wanted to set up a drug-distribution network in the Chicago area and that he took possession of the cocaine before being arrested.

At least Hanie is being consistent. 3 picks again (two for TDs). I wasn't Cutlers biggest fan but it is typical we finally get him playing well and then he gets injured.

Who'd have thought that the the Packers' run at perfection and the Colts' run at perfect imperfection would end on the same day.

Excellent the Ravens are humbled by the Cheifs.

Steelers can grab the #1 seed - but they need to win in San Fran tonight, going to be tough without Harrison and Pouncey - and Big Ben on one leg.

Here's a Grantland.com article about Tebow, his faith and how his father's ministry is trying to supplant the existing Christian religion in the Philippines and replace it with his own brand

Surely having a healthy Ben is more important than getting a higher seeding.

Ben played and the Steelers still lost

Was it worth the risk ?

No absolutely not.   I said he shouldn't have played, I think it is quite ridiculous actually.
