If Bears want any chance of getting into the playoffs we need to win in Wembley.

Where are the Villa Bears fans going to be? And unfortunately I'm going to miss part of the trailer party. Is it something to be at or a rip off place?

I'm going to Wembley and am a Villa Bear, but I think I'll probably get to Wembley at around about 5pm, so will miss the Tailgate Party.

They call it a "Tailgate Party" but its really just a place to centralize/control the food and beverage operations so that they can up the prices. There will be some promotional stands and a shop that will take ages to get into.

Last year there was a mini stadium set up, but they don't have many seats around it.

We just tend to wander around trying to spot celebs.

My brother and myself will probably head to the greyhound pub after the game.

This "Tailgate" sounds like pretty much the exact opposite of what a tailgate is supposed to be.

You need to get like 5 or 6 cars, someone to bring a grill and have everyone else bring food and beer from home.

Someone needs a football, and someone needs an obnoxiously loud radio.

That is all.  You then yell at any girl who walks by with a guy wearing the opposing teams jersey or hat, and make suggestive comments about how he isn't a real man.

While you and your friends sit in folding chairs, throw the football and give free beer to anyone who walks by and will stop for a minute and talk to you.

Extra points if you can get your hands on a large RV/Trailer and paint it in the teams colors.
EXTRA EXTRA Points if this RV has a working bathroom so you guys aren't standing in a piss filled lot all day.

That is a tailgate party...

You're right about that Paul.

Back in the 70s and 80s, before Rugby went pro and England were even more crap than they are now, we used to "tailgate" at Twickenham before home internationals.

Of course, my family was probably the only one there who referred to it as a "tailgate". To everyone else it was a "picnic"

Agreed. Tremendous day although we did our best to throw it away towards the end. Plus the squirrel and the tackle on the streaker ( to stop him, not the other as he still had his jeans on) by the guy with the clipboard was tremendous.

Streaker?  It was a topless, sweaty, slighly overweight, middle aged bald bloke, but he did get to grab a cheerleader before he got on the field.

Anyway, good afternoon & evenings entertainment, hopefully next time the NFL can bring over the 49ers :)

I wasn't praising him, just thought it was a very good takedown from the guy on the sidelines. Although fair play if he got a cheerleader. I only noticed him coming onto the pitch. Although I hope it wasn't the short haired one. She's mine.

It was a good take down especially after he'd side stepped the first security bloke in the end zone.  More than 1 person near me muttered something along the lines of 'I hope it was worth it mate 'cos you're getting a shoeing round the back in a minute'

There were some lovely ladies with pom poms  :P

Away from Wembley for a moment, the mighty Packers still undefeated.

Aaron Rodgers continues his awesomeness.

The squirrel was great entertainment.

Outside before the game it was typical piss-poor organisation at the "Tailgate". We arrived at one entrance just as they closed it and told to walk to another. As we approached, they closed that as well. A security guy (in a suit, so I assume that he was in charge), said that they were closing the Tailgate and people had to go into the stadium. This was 2 and a half hours before kick off.

We walked back to the first gate, where the security guy said that entrance had only been stopped temporarily. Then after using his radio, he said that the gates were shut permanently.

After walking up the stairs, we watched from outside the stadium as the tailgate gates were reopened.

This is the kind of poor organisation that I hope to see during the Olympics.

First time experience of attending a game, it was everything I'd hoped for and more........now saving up to go to Soldier Field one year. Was it just me though who thought that all the neutrals there wanted Chicago to lose !?
