I'd like to say before tonight's (tomorrow morning) game. COME ON DA BEARS!!

Wonder how our Offensive Line will do with their Linebackers.

+1 It'll be great to see those throwback jerseys too. MONSTERS OF THE MIDWAY!

George Blanda has died - you'd think he'd have waited until after tonight's game.

My Bears are 2-0 so the NFL side is perfect. My Fighting Irish are 1-2 which takes them out of the hunt for the Championship in week 3. I have to say though, that I've never had so much fun watching a 1-2 ND team as this year. What a difference Brian Kelly is making! Just give them a couple of years and I think we will be right back up there. Wake up those echoes!

I still think college football is basically silly. Get a proper league with play-offs and I might watch. Journalists shouldn't decide who the best teams are.

Enjoying the Bears' start. Jay Cutler is starting to look the real deal. I doubt our offensive line will be good enough to give him the protection he needs though. Hated Packers next... good test for us.

Missed this somehow, but I too agree 0 get a proper playoff system. The bowls can still make their money by rotating the title game. Just have the others host the earlier playoff rounds. I'll take college over pro any day though - you get to watch the sport as it should be played...without prima donnas and contract BS!

I had money on Green Bay before the season started to win the Superbowl.  After tonight that seems very, very stupid.

They are such a talented team (probably the most talented in the NFL).  Aaron Rodgers consistently turns in excellent performances.  The Wide receiving corp is as good as any and Finley is an excellent tight end.  Capers has some excellent defensive schemes, getting pressure on Quarterbacks and doing a great job against the run.

All of the above means absolutely FUCK ALL though.  You cannot beat anyone when you give away SEVENTEEN PATHETIC PENALTYS,(two on plays that would have been interceptions).  Fair play to the Bears.  Their ability to not act like total retards means they deserved the win.

Bloody 49ers.  Storm to 14-0 do nothing.  Intercept with 1.19 left but then fumble.  Falcons march down and score FG with 2 secs left.  49ers 0-4 and I'm not looking forward to 31st October at Wembley

I was avoiding this thread yesterday as I'd Sky+ our game, couldn't stay up until 3am watching it.

No offensive line again, they didn't even need to blitz with their linebackers, the front 4 could sack almost at will on their own. Cutler was holding onto the ball for too long at times too.

Still, would have settled for 3-1 at the start of the season.

Cutler was absolutely shite. He seemed to have the NFL version of "dartitis" being unable to release the ball. We are never going to achieve much with no offensive line but for all the effort we took to acquire him he should still be able to produce the odd bit of magic.

At least our D is starting to look more like its old self.

I am an Eagles fan, who has stated more often than once that I didn't agree with getting rid of McNabb and that Reid was the problem.

Knowing that this season is already a wash, I can't say that I didn't kind of enjoy watching Reid screw up the game.  Maybe it wasn't McNabb's fault the whole time... hmmmmmmmmmmm
