Just saw scoreline on SSN. I knew H&V wouldn't let me down when it came to finding out more.

Joining this thread pretty late and unlikely I'll stick around. Used to be really into NFL about 20 years ago, supported Dallas as theirs was the first game I saw on Channel 4 (beating NY Jets I think). I assume most of those posting on this thread used to frequent the shop in Oasis in town. Not still there is it?

Visited Dallas a couple of years ago for a WWE event and found the locals to be pretty vile, so been less inclined to support them since then. Philadelphia on the other hand was an awesome place with great people and so I find myself torn between two teams in the same division.

I lived there in the early 70s Guy for a few years. Suburb called Fox Chase. My dad got invited out there from Birmingham to the Uni of Pennsylvania to set up their medicine degrees for them...

Cant believe the jets won last night. Chargers were my superbowl pick, but I guess when your offense is that one dimensional its easier to stop, cant see the jets being able to do the same to the vikings or saints if they beat the colts

Right, another question from a complete novice at watching this game:

What's with this Wembley game they have every season? Why would the teams involved (especially the "home" team) agree to it with all the travelling involved and losing home advantage.

 Does it piss off the supporters, it would me if I was a ST holder and they took one of my games to another country 3000 miles away.

Or do the teams picked have no choice as it's all part and parcel of the franchise?

The teams do have a choice, at least if they're at 'home'. I think Randy said he wouldn't want the Browns to give up a home game as they had to go a few years without any home games at all (when the old Browns moved to Baltimore).

The travelling isn't such an issue as it is the same for both teams and they both get the week after off.

Why do they agree to it? $$$$$$$$$$$$$

It doesn't seem so. I suppose when they do they could always ask the original teams again.

The Bears could always give up one of their home games. Preferably to the Packers.

I would like to see the Bears but I imagine if the Bears were willing to do that they would've had them over already... as they are one of the most popular NFL teams in Britain. I doubt they will ever have a 'rivalry' game as it is always AFC vs NFC.
