Excellent article by Brian Moore in yesterday's Telegraph

The sight of Joe Theismann's leg breaking is an image that I'll never forget either

So put a couple of bets on for the game, 5/1-cardinals by 1-6.
13/2-willie parker 1st TD
anyone else got anything on it?

I assume you can't get very good odds on the Steelers winning

"Withleather" is a good blog. Deadspin regularly link to their articles

BTW - did you know that "blog"  isn't contained in Firefox's automatic spellchecker. Seems strange

Wow, what a finish.

I had a horrible feeling that Warner was going to win another, but what a time for Big Ben to throw his only TD of the day.

I was glad to see that they game the MVP to Santonio Holmes but the key play for me was James Harrision's 100 yard interception return for a TD. In effect a 14 point turnover.

Normally I watch the game by fast forwarding all the gaps between the plays. However, with Al & John doing the commentary, I just skipped the adverts and Sky studio segments.

I even watched the Half-Time show. The Boss was good and it was great to see Steven "Silvio" Van Zandt doing his real job.

Also, Brenda Warner might be weird but she's certainly improved with age (well, with a makeover and some hair dye at least)

Before

Now

Why did Pittsburgh have to win?

Did nobody tell them that they were the baddies?

Pretty good Superbowl.

Now the Steelers can sing "6 times we've won it no one else can catch us up".

Warner was the baddie as far as I was concerned (see my earlier post)

And in Tucson we got porn :

Tucson Citizen
Comcast has determined that a brief porn clip aired to local Super Bowl viewers Sunday night was "an isolated malicious act," a spokeswoman said Monday.

Comcast officials, however, did not reveal how the porn clip was shown.

Right after wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald scored a dramatic touchdown for the Arizona Cardinals, Comcast cable TV customers watching the analog channel saw a 30-second porn clip, Kelle Maslyn said.

"We apologize and certainly feel bad that this went on," she said, adding "we're letting customers know that we're mortified this happened."

The initial investigation suggested it was an isolated act because Comcast's systems were working properly otherwise, Maslyn said.

But the porn clip "everyone is rightfully upset about" was not the only one that sneaked in during the game, she said. An earlier clip showed about 10 seconds of end credits for Club Jenna, an adult pay-per-view channel.

The second clip, which showed full-frontal male nudity, was from ppv Shorteez, she said.

The game interruption did not appear on Comcast's high-definition channel, Maslyn said.

"We were, like, in shock," said Cardinals fan Alice Soto, 53, who was watching the game with her 11-year-old daughter and 80-year-old mother.

She said the clip was of a man and woman on a sofa. The man unzipped his pants, revealing his genitals.

Comcast spokeswoman Tracy Baumgartner confirmed in an Associated Press report that the company's standard feed was interrupted during the Super Bowl.

Though the Cardinals scored 16 points in the fourth quarter, the Pittsburgh Steelers won, 27-23.

If you sang a song at a football game, you would probably get a beer poured on your head!

haha

Brain Dawkins signs with the Broncos.

This is truly a sad day for Eagles fans.

No more Buckhalter, which sucks, but not so bad...

But then Denver gets ANOTHER one of ours in Dawkins, the Captain of the offense, the fan favorite, man of steel...

I felt like crying all day yesterday.

In other news, the Browns get rid of Winslow, Matt Cassel and Vrabel go to KC for a bag of chalk and a roll of tape...

Any thoughts?

The Bears need a Wide Receiver. A Quarter-Back would be nice too.
