Yeah, bless him. I think that was the point where I kind of knew that things might not end well. He's been great this season, too.

Oh for a good QB.

Jimmy G is ok, and an easy scapegoat I know, but Lance has to start next season.

It's amazing to get this far as I never expected that at all. Beating dirty Dallas and the Packers on the way, too. But to lose the final quarter 13-0, well, we didn't deserve to go to the Superbowl.

Fancy the Rams to win it now, but will be rooting for the Bengals, the bitter twat that I am :)

I couldn't agree more Axel. I got up at 6am this morning and whizzed through the game in a couple of hours. Gutting.

Jimmy G is simply not good enough for the team around him. A run to the Championship game though will lift his stock and we may get some trade collateral back for him.

Agreed, mate. Am still gutted. Never thought we'd get to this game after early season woes, but yep, still gutted.

Well done Cincinnati. Ridiculous OT rule, but it is what it is

Time for the 49ers to drag my emotions through the mud now!

The 9ers will win this comfortably. The Rams can't handle them.

That would be very nice for my nerves, mate.

I just feel Stafford has a big part to play yet. I lived in Detroit for a while, and gave him a lot of stick when he was at the Lions...could come back to ram that down my throat. No pun intended!

*Not that he really deserved me giving him stick, to be fair. I think he's a very fine QB.

It was always my impression that Matt Stafford was a very good QB in a very poor team?

Stafford is easily the best QB the Lions have had in the 20 years I've been watching. Does have brain farts in some games, but generally very good.

Only time the Lions were decent was when they had Stafford, Megatron and Marvin Jones. Their Defence and Running game are usually non-existent.

Hoping Bengals win, but would be pleased for Stafford if the Rams win.

Washington Commanders

Well, that's a bit dull

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33198434/washington-commanders-nfl-franchise-search-new-nickname-logo

A bit dull and a bit shit but 'Washington Commander-in-Chiefs' would be too much of a mouthful and 'Washington Wokes' would probably have meant more controversy. Looks better than it sounds tbf. Washington (Red)Wolves was probably the best of the names considered.

Wolves (without the Red) would have been a nice addition to the NFL Zoo. Better then commanders anyway.

Given the details of the issues they ran into with other names, Commanders seems fine-if-dull. In other news, after a season of being quite into NFL without having an actual team, I've decided to plump for the Minnesota Vikings. Like the purple kit, the Viking logo, and the fact that Minnesota has pro teams in the other leagues that I can "support". I have never been to Minnesota.

I've enjoyed my trips to Minneapolis / St Paul.

Great place to visit, just not in winter

Got some good players on Offence. Need to improve on Defence, probably mostly through the Draft.

Not too bothered who wins tonight as I don't dislike either team but the Bengals have already lost 2 Super Bowls so hopefully 3rd time lucky for them.

I'm rooting for the Bengals but won't be too unhappy with a Rams win. Hope it's a good game, been really spoilt these playoffs.
