Yeah, The Pats, The Colts and The Chargers were all amazing for a long time, this is 100% true.

But they aren't any longer.

The pats lost Brady and don't have a decent Running Back or a power back or any bac for that matter, and their defense is getting REALLY old.  When Brady was out they gave up.

The Colts...Well, I don't now what hapened to them, but whatever it was is a mess.

The Chargers just don't have it.  LDT hasn't been the same since his injury, and Rivers just isn't the same.

The one thing about the NFL and the salary cap, and the amount of injuries is that the whole league turns upside down evey few years.

Case in point.
The NFC east which is probably the strongest league in the NFL and 3 out of 4 teams actually make the playoffs, was not always dominant.

And in the AFC over the past four years, it is easy to be dominant when you play in an awful division.  For example, The Pats were undefeated in the regular season last year but keep in mind, they play the JETS, DOLPHINS, and BILLS twice in a year... that is six guaranteed wins!
SIX in a sixten game season!!

You know what I mean?

As for the Titans, The Jury is still out on them.

They have probably the easiest schedule in the league, and in the one game they played against a decent NFC team, The Packers (again, not a good team, but a decent team), the game went into Over Time and the Titans barely won.

I would like to see them go undefeated, they have a really cool story, and looking at their schedule right now I don't think it is out of the question, but keep in mind if they were to run the table this would be an ENORMOUS upset, and no one is gonna say they predicted it.

I think the packers game shows the titans have a bit of grit, they didnt play well at all in the second half but their rookie chris johnson is playin like an absolute machine, with him and white their running game is up with the best in the league, awesome defense.
not to mention the fact theyve played all season with their second choice QB, look what that did to the pats?

the nfc east is ridiculous, id say the best 4 teams in the nfc are in there and i reckon the nfc  will be between the eagles and giants.
you're right that the afc isnt the league it was but on paper teams like the colts and chargers stil have the ability to beat anyone else in the league on their day.

interestingly the 3 teams you mentioned in the pats division have all improved massively this year, the dolphins are being tipped for the playoffs after a single win season, the bills started well but are dropping back now, and Favre has breathed new life into the jets.

Its as open a season in both NFC and AFC as i can remember, i fancy the giants to win again though, they totally demolished a good cowboys team

Yes, exactly, The three teams I mentioned are twice the teams they were last year, but that again plays into the whole idea that every year is a different story in the NFL, and it also helps that the almighty Pats aren't almighty anymore...

I think the AFC east may be the worst division in football, just a slight bit worse than the NFC West, maybe a little better, but they both are terrible.

Sure the records aren't as bad, but when bad teams play bad teams one is goint to win and one is going to lose.

I also think Favre is overrated.  Not that he is bad mind you, but he isn't as good as the credit he gets.

As for the giants beating the cowboys, you are aware that the cowboys are in last place right now and after week 3 haven't been very good.

ALSO, they were playing with HEAVY injuries and NO QB on Sunday!!!!

The Jets could have beat them on Sunday!!!

I agree with this statement 100%, but all I am saying is that no one would have been able to say that they saw this coming 6 months ago.

Again, I would love to see them go undefeated, and be the team that finally runs the table (I don't think ANYONE wanted to see the pats do it last year), but I wouldn't have bet on it earlier in the year.

I have really enjoyed this talk, but I need to get to work! It's almost 7:00!!!

As for the Titans though...

I would LOVE to see them run the table, but I don't know.  The AFC is pretty weak this year, so if anyone is capable, it is this year.  I am shocked how good the titans are (as I am sure everyone is), but of all the AFC teams, the only ones I like are the Dolphins, and I have a soft spot for the titans (mostly for V Young though), and the Jaguars (because of Gerrard).

Eihter way, the AFC is weak enough that if it is going to happen in my life time, I think the Titans are the team to catch the Dolphins record.
