Funny I was just reading about that and came on here to talk about it! Yeah, they effectively lose a lot of their earning-potential by this ruling.

They can moan all they like but, money talks, and if their profits are down they'll eventually be forced to change the stupid name.

The logo is still protected but I expect to see Native American groups producing merchandise pretty quickly in order to try to claim back the name Washington Redskins.

I'm in DC at the moment and will bring up the subject when I meet a mate for lunch on Friday.

Would anyone be interested in setting up a fantasy league this season?  Ideally looking at a 10 man snake league?  I've never done one before  :-[

What's a snake league? I used to like the one on NFLuk which was pretty easy as you could change your team each week. I'd be happy with one where you need a draft but not sure we'd get sufficient interest on here... think you'd need at least ten players (presumably all willing to be online at the same time?) to make it interesting.

But, yeah... I'll try anything so long as it's free.

A snake league is basically where the it reverses order each round, so in a ten man league, the person who picks 1st will then pick 20th, 21st and so on. Pretty standard format I think. I know one or two on Twitter who would be up for it, let's see if we get much of a response and I'll try to set up a date to do the draft!

That seems to make sense to me. I'd be up for joining. Would we all need to be online at the same time? It might prove problematic organising the British and North American based NFL fans on here!

I've no interest in a live draft league but an auto-draft one could work.

My idea was to find a way to notify the person when it's their pick and give them a clock? For example, if it's your pick CD I'd message you on here (or however you'd prefer to be notified) and you're then on the clock for say 6 hours?  When you make your pic, add it to an online Excel sheet and pass it on to the next person.  It may take a while to do but would save everyone having to set aside a night or anything like that.  I'm not that keen on the idea of auto drafting ...

Sounds interesting, would we be picking:-

QB
RB
WR
TE
DEFENSE

Or more positions?

I believe the standard fantasy team includes:

QB
RB
WR
RB/WR (flex)
TE
Defence
Kicker

Not sure how many rounds we would do, would guess somewhere around 12?

NFL reportedly looking at venues other than Wemberleee for UK games.

However, its probably just a NFL power play to get more out of Wembley

Non-hospitality tickets for the first two Wembley games are sold out.

Surprisingly, its the Cowboys game that still has tickets available

Cowboys look awful, Jaguars could win that.

Thought Rams could be quite good this season, they have a good Defense and some promising draft picks, but Bradford being injured again is a big blow and it's a very tough division

Michael Sam has failed to make the Rams roster.

He was only a 7th Round pick, so the odds were always against him making the team. Still, its a shame that he won't be starting the NFL season.

Hopefully he'll make it onto an active roster at some point.
