Wolves part two and he’s expecting energy from the crowd. Select a side that will make them feel like they want to give some energy as the likes of Watkins and Buendia and Bailey constantly give the cunting ball away.  Hope I’m wrong but if you always do what you’ve always done, the result will be the same. Fucking Bailey, fucking Buendia, Christ.

Is he just trying to prove he is right and every fan wrong about Bailey? Expect him to be subbed off by 60 minutes after zero contribution. Lose tonight and some fans may start questioning Emery's tactics and selection.

What is Unai seeing in Bailey that we aren't? And Watkins needs to come out of the firing line for me.

Tammy should be in for Ollie.
Give Alysson a go over Bailey who should not make the squad.
Then I’d get Lindelof in the midfleid for the 1st half instead of Onana who clearly cannot run for a whole game.

Well, judging how he played on Sunday, neither Bailey nor Sancho will get much change out of James, Chelsea's best player. May as well use Bailey as cannon fodder to hopefully tire him a bit, then put Sancho on second half.

Shocking line up.  Is he losing the plot?

He's in the drunken gambler stage as Eamon Dunphy ironically once put it. Throwing his chips across the table and hoping for a performance. The three that were dropped can have no complaints. But going back to the same X1 that were awful v Leeds does seem crazy. Just hope Buendia and Rogers are at least swapped. Something a bit different tactically.

He knows the players best and he trusts them - we just have to go on that and hope they don't let him down.

Sure, he sees these guys day in day out. Absolutely. However we can see lack of confidence and players who are out of form.

Buendia. Watkins. Bailey. They are all chronically out of confidence or out of form. Or both.

Just bizarre.

I’m pretty convinced when I dipped in here for the Wolves match, most were happy with the line up. Them at the end we all moaned about the starting eleven. I could have made this up, it might be my useless memory.

So on that basis and reading the first couple pages of mentioning the hideous lineup we’re going to win 2 nil.

Agreed, odd night to change keeper. Is Jorgensen the guy that threw in a winner for us last season in the same game? Mings and Onana all over him hopefully with in swinging deliveries every time. Confident Cash will tie down Garnacho. No idea what Hato is like at left back. Fearful we will get outnumbered 5 v 4 in midfield.

I hope we win, I truly do. But I fully expect exactly the same as we have seen in recent weeks. There is literally nothing in that line which includes Bailey, Buendia, Watkins that gives me genuine hope for anything other than 1 or 2 shots on target (maybe) no goals yet again.

This is Emery giving the finger. Bailey shouldn't be on the bench let alone start. If Emery wanted crowd support then he has a funny way of showing it.

And I see it totally differently. It's Emery pumping those low on confidence what they need to turn their fortunes around. We can't afford passengers, full-stop. We need to have everyone firing for the run-in. Can't just shift Bailey off the team because he's not been performing well. We simply don't have that luxury. You have to pick him up as a manager and the players around him need to do the same. We've seen Leon at his best, and he's an absolute difference-maker.

All Unai is doing is showing confidence in his player and backing him to come good. Now it's all on Leon to back himself and do the same.

Yep, totally agree. We’ve lost three great players who make the team tick and had to replace them with players we got shot of ages ago because it would be unfair if we were allowed to sign players, so we have to try and keep going with what we have.

Jesus....Bailey must be some man to train! Chelsea to win by 2.

Two pretty tragic appearances of late. We will probably know within 10 minutes how it's going to go for Bailey. Work hard like he did v Newcastle and the crowd will support him. Stick to the basics.

Bailey, Buendia and Watkins, I don't get this, Watkins has been given divine right by God not to score, Bailey is still being beamed down from his last club, as such he's in perpetual transition, Buendia looks knackered to me, what is going on.

We have to win or at very least draw this. get over this and we go into the break, players coming back or closer to coming back.

Come on Villa get it sorted.

It's unbelievable how many times he makes such a piss poor connection when he's in on goal. It's almost as incredible as the amount of times he gets himself in that position. I can't think of another player who makes so many chances for himself purely on the back of the sheer effort he puts in.

I said to the missus that Watkins hadn't trimmed his toenails so he'll be offside.

I honestly cannot see from the graphic they showed how you can say that he was definitely offside. It's ruining the game.

Oh bollocks.

Looked like an arm played him onside but hey it's Chelsea and now they get a VAR for them. We are fucked.

All this pseudo-accuracy about some part of the body being millimetres on or offside, but just as critical is the timing of the pass being made - we never get to see that, do we? I mean, is it when the foot first brushes the ball? When the ball first deforms due to pressure? Or when it moves ?

I genuinely can't believe they are accurate enough about that to justify this micrometer measuring of the lines. It's bollocks, that's what it is.

Started brightly enough, but faded badly. The refereeing is beyond biased and VAR will make whatever decision they are told to. I'd be hauling off Buendia for Barkley and getting the ball to Bailey a bit more often. We can still get something out of this game, but the intensity needs to be ramped up instead just rolling over.

The really frustrating thing is fully automated VAR has been available for the last three years. The richest league in the world chooses not to use it. They prefer to give a bloke in a studio 100 miles away the power to choose which frame to use. I don't know why they choose to do that. It's a mystery alright.

We have created more clear chances tonight than in many weeks. But that's come at a cost at the other end. Kamikaze stuff really with both teams from the first minute. But the extra man in midfield has given Garnacho far too much space and Cash in trouble now on a yellow. Both centre backs have been awful and Onana embarrassingly poor as per usual. Would be a surprise seeing our front four tonight that Rogers would be by far the worst of them but so it is.

Maatsen, Luiz, Ollie our best. Bailey and Buendia certainly started well.

Changes, either or both centre backs could go. I'd love to take Onana off as he's useless but maybe a midfield three with Bogarde helping Cash on that side is the way to go.
