Here you go:

https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/football-fans-slam-draconian-tory-30864189

These proposals include:
• Buses cant stop anywhere within 10 MILES of the ground without police permission
• Buses cant stop at ANY pub for a beer unless it's sold with a substantial meal.
• Buses are to arrive at the venue no earlier than two hours before and not later than one hour
before the scheduled start of the game, unless otherwise directed by police.
• Buses cant drop off or pick up any fans at any unauthorised locations without prior permission
of the police.
• Bus companies must tell Dedicated Football Officer 48 hours before the game, the number of
supporters expected to travel, the number of vehicles booked, the name and the contact
number for the person who made the booking.

That all looks like attempting to fix a problem that doesn't really exist any more.

It doesn't exist anymore because of these regulations.

Not my words, the words of senior police officers throughout the country.

They do a cheese ploughman's (I think) one that I've seen the board thing that goes behind the packets before (fairly recently, like last 12 months maybe) but never the actual cheesy item. Which is a shame, because I bloody love cheese, but probably for the best. I'm my imagination they're the most delicious crisp available, made all the more tempting as I can't have them. If ever I tasted them, I'd 100% certain be disappointed.

I've had a theory for a long time that cheap crisps are in every way superior to expensive crisps. Spicy tomato flavour Snaps, also made by Smith's - dirt cheap and easily the best tasting crisp of all - being the case in point.

Isn’t that just for Scotland? Our buses don’t tend to do pub stops, only coaches.
Our buses never get there two hours early either.

Our coach gaffer does a tidy bit of research for each away pub usually a good few miles from the ground and, contacts them to make sure we're welcome.

Gets us away from the 'cracking pub, full of Villa, but 10 deep at the bar' mob and on occasion, we've even got some free sarnies.

It saying that these guidelines have been historically been in place in England, but wonder if these have been implemented by local police

Spurs away last year, coach me and my lad booked on, along with a lot of other coaches stopped at the spoons in Waltham Cross for about 3 hours, don’t think thats anywhere near 10 miles.
Liverpool away last May, the Spoons near the Everton ground.

Official Villa coaches don't do pub stops and don't allow alcohol on the coaches.
That suits me.
We were parked up opposite The Arkells (official parking spot) on Sunday about hour and three quarters before kick off...plenty of time for a few beers in there, or another boozer close by, or a stroll through the park to the ground and a few beers in there. I've done all of those in recent years, never a problem.
Didn't have Scampi Fries though, and after wince's post, don't think I will be any time soon!

I used to be able to drive a coach (probably still could but not legally allowed to) and once took a bus load of Wigan rugby fans down to Wembley for a Challenge Cup final. One of the worst experiences of my life, and one of the things that spurred me on to do something a bit more worthwhile with my life.

Add them fish + chip biscuit / crisps things to the list please , incredibly overpowering towards the bottom of the pack where the last few are heavily plastered with the salt/vinegar coating, getting thirsty now . Had them at plough lane

Was going to say, if you're going for the strongest flavoured salt & vinegar crisps, Discos are king. McCoys have the best flavour. And if it's punishment you want ... me and a couple of mates used to play this game/challenge on the way back from away games. Get a big tube of salt & vinegar pringles, see who can eat the most in one mouthful. Rules are that they must all be in your mouth at the same time, your can't spill any whatsoever, and you're allowed to use one hand to put them in your mouth & optionally hold them in.

The salt & vinegar dries your mouth out just in time for the pringles to start forming in to shards, rich feel like you're ripping the inside of your mouth to bits. Overall record was 19, held by my mate Rich. My PB was 17 Pringles (did 19 once, but there was spillage).

Ah I didn't know this, maybe I'm back in the twiglet game! I wonder how they could have changed them so much for you now to dislike them?

I used to love Turkey Twizzlers and then that c**t Jamie Oliver told me I wasn't allowed to get fat but they've brought them back and now they're just 'meh'. I want to taste my arteries closing up.
