Regardless of how UEFA view it surely we’re still massively within our agreed thresholds?

The whole thing is confusing me. Even at the supposed transfer value of £42m or whatever, surely that is easily proven as fair market value. Similar to what he went for 12 months ago and despite a disappointing season, he's still only 22.  And I don't get why we'd want to inflate his fee artificially either. Surely that would only help Chelsea?

The idea of the loophole is that Chelsea overpay for Rogers, we overpay for Garnacho, we both get to book the entire fee onto the accounts and the outgoing fee we book over the length of the contract. I think.

I can't entirely get onboard with "Emery getting the best out of players", pointing at Garnacho because of Guessand, Bailey, Diaby, Philogene, Pepe etc. all flops in my opinion. But saying that then there is Rogers but I think with Morgan he had the professionalism and dedication from the off, just needed someone to tap into the talent. All I remember with Garnacho the last couple of years are Man Utd and Chelsea players losing their shit with him for not passing or crossing when he should of.
