I’m happy with this. Very happy.

Still not sure if he’s a Tielemans replacement or not, but the club are working quickly to fill in the holes and weaknesses from last season.

This looks like excellent business from the club.

He doesn’t do injuries much either which is very good.

FFS, mate.

I wonder who we will replace him with?

You'd think we wouldn't commit to buying a player without already having his emergency injury replacement lined up.

Amateurs!  >:(

We should insist that every player comes with an understudy, like we're the RSC.

And they get a run out in the Matinee performances, I mean Saturday 12.30pm kick offs.

Gomes is nicknamed "Pitbull" When we played them at VP last season I noticed his aggression in the tackle. He's only 25 as well, which helps to lower the age profile. This will give more bite to our midfield.

I was very impressed with a blonde haired guy in the Wolves centre midfield when he played in their 1-0 defeat at Villa Park last season. I couldn't be arsed to find out his name at the time. Was that by chance Gomes?

Fantastic. If he plays like that consistently for Villa he'll be a great addition

Maybe bring in Jurrien Timber from Arsenal next.

Great signing. Just hope we don’t lose any of the three coming back from England duty!

He's a lot more forward thinking and progressive than some think. Looks better than Youri dare I say it in a shite team.

*Snipped YouTube bit*

Based on those clips, he’s got a Rogers like knack of taking on players. Quick, explosive first couple of steps that allows him to take the ball into space.
