TBF whilst I thought he hadn't really done anything extra special the last few games, last night he was certainly MOTM.

Our family is torn here as my side originally come from Norway and my wife has lots of friends and contacts over there. I suppose we win whatever the result

A 1066 do-over. England use so much energy defeating the Norwegians that they haven't got enough left in the tank when they face the French a week or so later.

I'd put that right up there with the biggest/toughest wins for England in my life time.

The refereeing was questionable. The referee got most of the big decisions right but the two goals Mexico scored were extremely fortunate as the freekick awarded which resulted in the first should never have been awarded especially when you look back at what has been let go already. The Harry Kane foul was closer but you can have contact in the penalty area without it being a foul. Contact was minimal but not foul worthy and not a clear and obvious error by the referee.

Really pleased they won playing in a place like that - Raucous fans, Motivated Shithousery players who unlike Paraguay can actually play and a poor referee.

Gordon looked like a 60m+ player, Bellingham looked like a 160m player and looking forward to next one.
