It's a trophy but not a major trophy, IMO. Better than the Charity Shield but way below winning the League Cup which is the smallest major trophy.
I don’t think we’ll sell out especially if it’s not included in criteria for future tickets. Spurs sold 4700 out of 6700 allocation but I would hope we might beat that. When we won it in 83 it did seem a big deal but we were playing Barcelona and it was over two legs. I think it probably equals a League Cup these days!
It's a glorified friendly but fantastic to be involved

There are 6 major trophies you can win Champions LeaguePremier LeagueEuropa LeagueFA CupEuropa Conference LeagueLeague Cupthese are the ones that count and then there are “minor” honours. Minor HonoursClub World Cup (old or new format)UEFA Super CupFA Community ShieldFA Youth CupWe’ve won 21 Major Honours and I think 7 Minor Honours.
I really want to win it, we need our players to get into the habit of picking up trinkets.
I think the new Club World Cup is, unpleasant as it may be, a major trophy. You have to play seven games and the winner gets £100 million. The new Intercontinental Cup can still be classed as a minor trophy as European teams only have to win one match.
The Super Cup in 1983 was a mid season tie and meant a lot when we won it, even if the trophy was just a piece of polished wood. Barcelona certainly never treated the tie as a friendly, it was a battle to the death. Nowadays it's a glorified pre season curtain raiser, a European version of the community shield. That said, we'll be Supreme Champions of Europe if we win it, like we were in 1983

But, even though we were playing Barcelona, the attendance was only 31,000. Above average for that season, but still low when you consider the opposition and, the ground was bursting at the seams a few days later, when we hosted Wolves in the FA Cup.
