Given the height of Harlan’s why aren’t Norway slinging in a few crosses? I don’t think have done so once yet

Surprising, isn't it and it's not like they haven't had the opportunities.

Billy Idol on the left wing is particularly guilty

Suggs on the right ain't much better.

FIFA will stop at nothing, even going so far as to pay H&Vers to shill for them and claim it was a penalty. Sad times.

I think not showing the ref the pertinent replay was the most suspect act.

I'm not saying the defender didn’t get a touch on the ball. I'm saying he brought the forward down. The forward can still get to the ball if he's not fouled.

folarin balogun steps onto the pitch. he's got a new celebration– six-shooter finger guns! wait, those are real revolvers! he guns down the entire belgian side in the first minute & trump lands marine one at midfield to present him with an official pardon and the medal of honor. he is then deported

Fair enough. I think he knocked it out of his path.

What do you think of them not showing the ref the angle where you could clearly see that the defender played the ball?

Odegard is a waste of space.

Not true Mellin I’m afraid. I don’t think there’s anything in the rules that says a touch on the football means anything other than serious foul play is allowed. Unless of course FIFA have announced a new clause.

I was exaggerating a bit for effect. Fair, as wasn't clear.

Bringing it back to the point, I just don't think people have seen the angle from behind the goal. I'm guessing they'll show it now at half time. It's a touch of the ball and he takes the man after. Pretty standard non-penalty and I don't think there's a legitimate counteragrument. I understand why people would think otherwise having not seen that, including the ref.

Gonna leave it there as enjoying a tight game.

He has filled out a bit. Wasn't that the issue with him?

Yes, the ref should have been shown the replay from that angle, even if the decision should still have been a penalty. Which begs the question, why was he not shown it?
