You'd think E, G and H would be likely. The fourth one they needed was for South Korea to not balls it up against South Africa

When Scotland go home in a few days, who is going to be begging the Americans for approval?

Curacao beating Ivory Coast by four clear goals, as long as Ecuador don't beat Germany, would also work but seems implausible.

Overall, it could happen but they need a lot to go right.

The English with their MAGA hats.

Scotland's joint top scorer across nine games and three tournaments is Antonio Rudiger.

Not seen any of them. Seen a few stickers telling the Americans its time to come home after 250 years of hurt and make America Great Britain again. Solid bants.

At least Scotland can take solace from the fact that their result means England now just have to avoid a 3-0 defeat to Panama in order to guarantee progress - silver linings and all that.

I find you an offensive snide.

This is football. Scotland are the neighbours, there is a faux rivalry. Them being absolute begs for the Americans and going out is funny. I'd expect them to rightly laugh their cocks  off if we go out in the group phase.

The draw for the last 32 is completely unbalanced, in how teams finishing their group in first or second position come to be allocated their opponents, favouring some teams over others (or disadvantaging them).

What does it even mean anyway?

There are 16 games. It’s inevitable that some will look easier/harder than others. Unless you have a seeding system that kicks in at the knockout phase.

Actually, they sort of do. Assuming they win their groups, the top 4 in the world can’t meet until the semis

You are going to get an unbalance when only 2/3rds of groups allow for qualification for 3rd placed teams. They do have a weird matrix of which 3rd place teams qualify changing the group winners they will play. For England's group, if the 3rd team from Portugal's group qualifies, then they are the opponents of the winner. If they don't then there are a three other teams that the group winner plays.

I know social media isn’t the real world but on it there has been a definite theme of Scotland supporters going on and on about how much nicer they are than England fans and how the Americans love them by comparison to the English etc etc etc.
