Unai Emery smiled at his press conference when asked about his starting XI for Sunday.

“ I will try to be serious and get the best starting XI respecting the competition, but it’s not easy….Sorry but it’s not easy.”

Good good.

Howling reading this. I don't know if we'll be seeing our captain start the game somehow. Perhaps some of the muslim lads will be, ah, in less biochemical disequilibrium.
Hilarious, its going to be 8-0, and honestly…cmon Everton and West Ham

But what an honour it is for Villa to provide the opposition at Pep's last game at Citeh.

The press never mention the squillion of pounds Pep has been able to spend on players over the ten years, wonder how he would have gone with Villa's budget.

And they always seem to mention how great he is with players without mentioning squandering the talents of two English midfielders.

This weekend I just want Spurs to go down. A Villa result is a bonus in a game that is all about their manager.

Yep.

Double yep.

I watch every Villa game I can. except for this one. Really can't be arsed. Because it's irrelevant.

To be fair, if Emery leads us to 20 major trophies I would also not particularly care about how the talents were used.

Aston Villa have lost their final Premier League match of the season more often than any other side in the history of the competition (16)
