I wouldn't be surprised if part of the thinking is to encourage attendance in the European games.

Lots of season ticket holders didn't go, certainly round us, and attendances have been down. So by rewarding the non-season ticket holders, they may think they are encouraging these to take up the slack when the ST holders don't come.

From memory, they prioritised memberships in some way for the FA Cup semi-final last year as well didn't they?  Guess they want to try and get as many memberships sold as possible.  Not in anyway having a dig at the folks with memberships, as I'd imagine the large majority of them attend most of the games anyway.  Doubt there would have been many at all who would just have paid for a membership and only gone to all of the home Europa games.

Luckily I got a ticket but I do think we need a better priority system going forward, I said it earlier but a points based one maybe based on overall attendance over the last few years? Or something anyway.

Do I think as a season ticket holder who attended every home Europa Leage game that I should have priority over season ticket holder who hasn’t attended every Europa League game or member who has or hasn’t attended every Europa League game? Absobloodylutely I do but at the end of day UEFA are the ultimate scumbags staging such a big game at such a small ground with pathetic ticket allocations

It would also help if we had a few more tickets - or they used larger stadiums! Pleased for everyone that got one. Still may go for a re-sale one....

I imagine a week costs a lot of money when you have crews in place and materials coming.

Yeah get that and there are obviously going to be works done straight away which might mean it isn't possible.  More wishful thinking to be honest.

So I attend every home league game and European game and someone who attends less games gets a final ticket before me, that's Aston Villa fault not UEFA

Hi

Sorry if it's been covered.  We haven't managed to get tickets in the ballot and are considering the resellers - Ticombo has been mentioned.

Anyone got advice on how reliable they are and how the Id checks are covered.

I've called them and they said the seller transfers the ticket via the Uefa site.

Does this sound right?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

I've used my mate's code (he can't go now) and bought a ticket. The tickets are to be accessed on UEFA's app. Hopefully they won't put a stop to me using it.

It’s blooming frustrating. Everyone in our group (3 of us) got a ticket apart from one, the resale prices are shocking at the moment. At this rate he’ll be stuck watching in a bar in Istanbul on his lonesome.

Possibly not the right time to be saying this, and apologies if I'm spouting something that has been discussed elsewhere, but to lump ST holders who go home and away domestically (and have a full house of home euro games) in with members in cat 3 seems extremely harsh to me.  I'm hoping the club's back office system would have picked this up when selecting people in the ballot?

This is the first time I have used them, but I can share what I found.

Ticombo I believe is the only site that offers a 100% refund should the ticket not turn up, not be as advertised, or not work on the day. I believe that the seller can't access the money until 5 days after the event, so you have time to claim if there are any issues.

You can see reviews of the seller on there, and you can see how long they have been on the platform, and how many sales they have made. So you can make sure you buy from someone with a good, long-term history.

With the UEFA tickets, the buyer receives all the tickets they have purchased to their UEFA app. They can then transfer each of them to another person's UEFA app to use on the day. Only the buyer of the tickets can transfer to another person, so you can't then transfer it on yourself.

As far as I can see, all the tickets are mobile tickets, so avoid any offering paper tickets or anyone asking you to meet up or collect them. There shouldn't be any need for that with a legitimate UEFA ticket resold by the original purchaser.

Ticombo also offers additional insurance you can take out at a price, which I believe gives you more options to get a refund.

They are expensive, as Ticombo's fees are pretty high. But I felt that the ability to see seller history and the refund guarantee gave more comfort.

The UEFA ticket site for re sales, seems to have lots camping out on it, or possibly bots. Single tickets are appearing occasionally and rapidly disappearing
