I see Chris Wood's cunning plan for us to attack the Holte End first, didn't go too well. :)

The first thought I had when he did it was "yeah, PSG tried that and it didn't do them any good"

10 years ago today

Villa 0-0 Newcastle

The only point we took from the last 13 league games as we were relegated as one of the worst ever PL sides.

And now we're off to a major European final.
I was there. We were rubbish but Newcastle were worse as they needed points to stay up

I just nipped in here to ask…

Did anyone else sleep like crap last night?

But I’ve seen all the posts above and know that I’m not alone!

Amazing result. I love this club.

What a team, what a manager, what a captain, what a night. Magnificent.

Play like that in Istanbul and there can only be one winner. I hope Unai selects the same team for it, inc Lindelof who after tonight deserves to keep his place.

Lindelof doesn’t play enough. Apart from last Sunday, when he was rubbish like everyone else, he’s hardly put a foot wrong since joining the club.

Still disappointed it didn't go to penalties.

Can't remember the last time I woke up so happy

I was on the train to Witton with a Corkman.

It wasn't me unfortunately! There are quite a few Villa fans in Cork alright. I'm just reading your new book by the way, really enjoying it

Bittersweet, as I lost my Dad yesterday.  A Villa supporter since WW2 days. I hoped he could hang on for the final, but there you go...

His final match was the Sunderland match, when he somehow got to his feet for Tammy's winner.

I’m so sorry to hear that, may he rest in peace, a true Holtender in the sky

My sleep score, normally up in the 80's, was 35 last night. So I was definitely in the same boat as everyone else.

The players, manager, and fan's as one, incredible.

I saw a clip where the Manure twat was stating our penalty was really soft. You support Manure and you thought ours was soft...
