Martinez seems to want the Juventus move - could be interesting to see what happens

What's he said?

And where has he stated it?

It's not what he said, it's what he did. He's only gone and bought his missus a Fiat Abarth 600e.

If Garnacho ends up pulling on a Villa shirt then he gets my backing until such time as he shows he's no good.

He obviously fell out with Man U (who wouldn't?), but you should never judge a date by what their ex says.

Two exes in two years and you might wonder the cracker is on the market again

He did also walk around with a Villa shirt on whilst still at Manure so goes up in my estimation for that.  But he did also leak team news ahead of a game last year.

I did find this though which at least Manure thought at one stage he was going to be a world beater.

After a breakout year in 2022, Garnacho was among United’s top performers in the 2023–24 season, racking up 10 goals and seven assists in all competitions. He was touted as untouchable following the arrival of co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and, in the face of interest from elsewhere, was being valued at well over $135 million (£100 million).

Just 12 months later, with his form fluctuating and his off-field conduct being questioned, United were all too keen to accept Chelsea’s bid of $54 million. On paper, that sort of money does not buy you a 21-year-old winger with proven Premier League pedigree.

Martinez signed for Man Utd, walked around in a Villa shirt, then signed for Chelsea?

🚨 Arsenal’s recent enquiry for Ezri Konsa showed the clubs were miles apart — they value him at around £30/35m, whilst Villa see it more like £60m. Konsa would like to join Arsenal, but they know Villa’s stance.

We can’t be losing anymore key players. Where’s it being reported we have to do that to sign more players? That makes no sense given how much we’ve brought in and how much has been cut from the wage bill. We have plenty of gaps, and as it stands are we’re plugging the loss of the vast majority of our creative output (Rogers and Tielemans) with a player has huge potential in Manzambi, and a gamble in Garnacho. There is loads still to do.

John Percy said we need to sell one more for SCR. Whether he knows that or is just guessing is another matter entirely.
I think the headline to that article was misleading. The "need to sell" seemed to amount to offloading non-contributing players rather than any SCR/FER consideration.

Arsenal's commitment to timewasting is actually quite admirable.

The Garnacho/Rogers deal is a stinker like Ireland/Milner deal. We lose our best midfielder and pick up total waster.
