Put the massive wages into the young, left-sided centre back that we'll need to replace Pau in two years.

Alternatively, if Unai wants a project, Milan are trying to raise funds to sign 18 year old Greek star and right winger, Konstantinos Karetsas from Genk. €35m plus bonuses so cheaper then Garnacho, why not hijack the deal? By all accounts he's ridiculously special and somebody is going to make a killing on him in a couple of years.

He's excellent, would definitely be up for signing him.

Give it a year or two and everybody will be falling over themselves with the wonderkid known globally as the Greek Messi. We need to find a tutting button only we can use when the Johnny Come Lately gloryhunters start singing his praises. 21st of July, 2026, we were telling the world and the idiots closed their ears.

Think Messi doesn't even have as many World Cup goals as Mbappe, in spite of his advanced age. We need the new Mbappe!

I want both!

Martinez seems to want the Juventus move - could be interesting to see what happens

What's he said?
Apart from saying he's thinking of quitting the international scene, nothing. I think Sid is catching up from last week.

If we lose Martinez and Konsa on top of the ones already gone that’ll be half of the first team.  That would be utterly mad.

We can’t be losing anymore key players. Where’s it being reported we have to do that to sign more players? That makes no sense given how much we’ve brought in and how much has been cut from the wage bill. We have plenty of gaps, and as it stands are we’re plugging the loss of the vast majority of our creative output (Rogers and Tielemans) with a player has huge potential in Manzambi, and a gamble in Garnacho. There is loads still to do.

Tanswell seems to suggest that a second wide player may or may not happen, later in the window, which is a bit of a concern

You'd have hoped the sales (especially after Rogers) would have cleared us of the various financial restrictions, and yet the sunny transfer uplands still seem a far distance away.

John Percy said we need to sell one more for SCR. Whether he knows that or is just guessing is another matter entirely.
