I think the issue is that they don’t want a loan, they want him off the books ( big earner apparently) . He’s also getting on a bit, so can’t see us wanting to buy him after a season on loan.

Maybe they could put in a clause that will trigger an obligation to buy after a number of games to suit all parties?
