Our tactic to constantly kick it long from a goal kick means we are giving the ball away 95% of the time. It's not working currently, our midfield need to take some responsibility for moving the ball forward. We really miss Pau's distribution!

225 minutes without a home league goal. As we won every game at home for that stretch I could never imagine that stat as we lined up to play Everton, Brentford and Brighton.

No coincidence this follows ditching a very strong attacking threat in Malen.

Had we not lost the players we did in quick succession I wonder what our January would have looked like. It might not have required us to move on Malen to bring in Gallagher which turned into Tammy and Doug. Off the bench he certainly offered us a spark. Something we are sorely missing right now.

Without Tielemans and Kamara we lose our tempo, look edgy and bereft of ideas. This is dismal so far.

Can't see where a goal, or even a clear chance, is coming from.

Kamara is the glue at the back that lets us push forward with confidence, Tielemans makes us risk further along. And we miss SJM massively too.
