Really poor for 60 minutes. The attitude looked off across the team. Mings had one of those nights in the first half. After the opener we never looked back. Lovely to see the two youngsters combine for such an important goal. The second leg at home is an advantage and certainly helps in the way we play. It means we can play controlled football in the first legs which Unai loves.

Yeah Onana was not on his game last night - which is fine, if he’s having an off game I’d rather it was that one.

Looked like he was trying to get through with minimal energy expenditure which is fine by me.

He was slightly limping just before he was subbed, hope it's just a small niggle.

Got stuck on the M6 south for about 90 minutes going home so plenty of time to reflect on the game. Thank heavens we won.
Delighted that Mings got some kind of redemption with the second goal. Beating the goalie to the ball in that area took me back to Peter Withe and, even longer ago, the warrior that was Andy Lochhead. Loved seeing the youngsters win it for us.

Can't see many players going for that header from which Mings scored. The keeper went to punch and nearly took him out. Maybe Ty was determined to make amends, I'd like to think he would have gone for it anyway.

Watching the goal back it is a front three of Rogers, JJA and Young. All born in the Birmingham area. Can't have happened too often in recent times.

They can kick lumps out of us on the park, tie our hands behind our back financially, but we never surrender.

Ohh ohh ohh, the guns of Aston...
More like a Great Escape! Proud we pulled ourselves out of the poo: great that young lads did so well!

Tyrone: #redemptionarc.

Flipping cold last night: I'd only just thawed out from the Forest game!

Credit to Mings but I thought their keeper bottled that one spectacularly. Great delivery from Cash. I thought Mings, goal aside, was atrocious last night. Brutal for both goals and was caught behind the defensive line again when they could have made it 0-3.

Yes he redeemed himself but he wasn't great last night. Around us, we were saying just before their first goal that he was just about to make a bad error the way he had started the game and how he was playing.

Onana was fairly anonymous too. Out of our four key midfielders, the one we would possibly miss least with an injury (not that I wish any injury on anyone), is the only one who is fit - for now.

We tend to see the best of Onana against the better sides, not a bad trait to have.

Dunno if it's been mention but both Kaden and Jamaldeen played for Phoenix Utd.

We were the better side against Arsenal until he went off.

Top players don't pick and choose. See Rogers and Cash when they came on last night.
