Oh and Elliott is injured.  Presumably putting the club Christmas decorations back in the loft.

Elliott isn't injured. Maybe Legion needs to start a seperate "Not Liked by Emery Updates" thread.

Or keep with this thread when updating about players who are injured.

“He is injured now. He is not available because of injury,” Emery explained when asked about Elliott’s situation.

The only quote I had seen was

Quote
“Harvey Elliott, as well, is not available for tomorrow. The other players are available.”

If that has changed elsewhere then yes, he does need to appear here.

Hmm, another "little injury" I wonder.

As frustrating as it is i would imagine coming as a boy into Prem level football, training, diet, playing etc must take a while to adapt whilst a toll on the body if not used to it

That could account for his absence from the team sheet in the first week. But getting on for two months later? Nah. There is something slightly discordant going on. Let's hope it's not a long-term thing.

The most likely thing is that the intensity of training is much higher and he's finding it a lot more combative than he's used to so he's picking up a few niggles as he settles in.

My guess is he's eating too much feijoada.

I’ve seen him in Senhor Ovo a couple of times, having a medley of baps, batches, barm cakes, stotties and bread bubbles.

They come very close to you with that carving knife, always a change that you can pick up an injury.
