This is quite interesting on player fatigue, which seems to have us in a pretty good position:

It's probably a bit of nonsense, but it's hard to escape the impression under Emery that we do spend a lot of time in matches conserving energy and resting in possession. At the start of the season I thought this would be a difficult one for Man City and Chelsea after the club world cup nonsense and I still think that, plus Champions League and other cup matches, will come back to bite them in the run-in.

With McGinn and Tielemans to come back and hopefully be relatively fresh once over their injuries then nothing is done and dusted yet - win the next two and take it from there.

Our playing style definitely suits both lasting 90 minutes and playing in Europe. Our results on the Sunday after the Thursday have been really strong this season. If we were high intensity gegenpress nutcases would that still be the case?

We'd be playing the under 12's with all the injuries if we did that shit.

Our (Rob or) Ross would be on life support.

Yeah, it would leave me pretty confident that'll get top 4.

We are now not even a whisper in the conversation. But with Mcginn and Tielemans to come back it’s exciting. They will be rested and full of energy for the remaining matches. Our next three games are horrible. Leeds, wolves and then chelsea. We need big points from them and then who knows what might happen.
