Forest had everything going right for about 5 months, including Wood scoring at an insane rate. I've said before that top end strikers consistently score 20-25% of chances, Wood was at nearly 35% for months. Then reality kicked in and in the last 12 months he's scored in 4 PL games, and one of those drops off at midnight.

2024 we won 4, drew 4, lost 4 of our last 12. We'll need to improve on that this season

There would have to be an incredibly unlikely run of results for 66 points to be required to get CL qualification this season.  League points are already far more widely spread this year than for a long time (the 40 point mark possibly being required to avoid relegation for the first time in over a decade), so the teams at the top are not hitting the kind of numbers that usually get CL, added to the fact that 5th will qualify again this season.  The below link is the Opta analysis for the rest of the season

https://theanalyst.com/competition/premier-league/table

Basically, 63 points should be enough.  Because of head to head games, even if two of Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool overperform their expected results, it then makes it even more difficult for the other team to reach even 62 points.

It's all on Liverpool. They have five nice fixtures coming up. If they take 12/13/15 points then we're going to need to do this ourselves, midfield or no midfield.

We've had some duff results of late, but to be honest, if you look at the teams around us, we've had a big stroke of luck that they've been iffy too.

Ifs, buts and maybes……but goodness me, if we had kept everyone healthy, we could be going top on Saturday.

We won’t win the league, but we probably won’t have a better chance either.

Injuries have killed off any chance of the impossible job. Funny watching Arsenal implode.
