They were as poor as Go Ahead, but at least we won this one. It really should have been far more comfortable as the game was so one sided for the most part. Our attacking threat waned with the subs although I've no idea how Guessamd stayed on.

Watkins still looks well off scoring. I thought when he was put through he should have scored comfortbaly, but it went tamely at the keeper, unless the angle from my seat deceived me.

Thought we played well first half, looked sharp and threatening. Quieter second half but all good in the end.

We do have a seriously good squad these days with the majority of them fit and Konsa, Rogers and Malen in particular in great form we have some happy days ahead. Our home record is bloody marvellous.

Special mention to the Young Boys fans, what a bunch of massive pricks.

We’re not clinical enough in the box, we have a problem in scoring goals
not just the actual shooters ie Watkins and Malen but the creators are also just as wasteful with to many sloppy balls (ooh Matron) being played

I'm not sure how true this is. We clearly started the season badly but since we scored our first against Brentford in the cup the only game we haven't scored in was away at Liverpool, that's 13 games out of 14. In those 14 games we've scored 26 goals, so nearly 2 a game on average. That's a very decent return and, over a season, would see us pushing towards 100 goals in all competitions, which would be an incredible return given we've had many season in the past 30 years where we've struggled to manage 50.

We can do better, we can all see that some of the team are a little shot shy, but I don't think it's fair to suggest we have a problem scoring goals right now.

I'm hoping that Guessand and Sancho played the full 90+10 minutes on account of the likelihood that they won't be playing any more minutes any time soon.

Blimey, it’s been a few years since I’ve witnessed crowd trouble like that. Has Malen got some sort of history versus Young Boys? He certainly made a point of going over to them.
The Don stirred up a bit on his Instagram too, saying “Nice kick about with some Young Boys”

I watched as much as I could at work which wasn’t a lot, bits I did see first half, Malen looked electric, pace to burn and causing havoc all over the front line. Looking forward to watching it tonight.

Also, I see the crowd was only 32,000 and yeah it’s a shit time for a KO but 10,000 off capacity, bit surprised to be honest.

There is one guy clearly throwing punches at the police.
He should be lifted at the airport.

A decent hour and then shit.
The last 30 mins were abysmal. Young Boys were really not very good, lower Championship standard at best, yet we allowed them to dominate us in the last half hour.

I thought Malen and Maatsen were very good, Tielemans and Onana glided through the game.

Guessand was awful. He helps out defensively, but is very poor going forward.
Sancho looked interested, which was useful.

I worry for Ollie though. How much of his constant fluffing of chances is bad luck, and how much is down to him being in decline? It’s been going on for too long to be a blip.

You do wonder how hard it is, to lift (I counted) 3 maybe 4 blokes throwing punches?

The main one who was doing most of the punching then walked away would have been nicked within minutes if it was a domestic match.

Routine win, no injuries & squad players got some minutes.

As for Guessand, he somehow gets worse the worse the opposition.

Why do you think that is? Just not wanting the media headlines?

Operationally, you don't have the opportunity to just film and then give them the 6 o'clock knock in a month, in Switzerland
