Onana is a far bigger specimen than Bogarde. No way should any player be blocking him off.

Or just another one of your scapegoats to have a go at.

I know he scored but Guessand is nowhere near good enough at the moment.

He’s more involved but not showing any real quality.

A bit like Watkins. I've never known a striker shoot so often straight at the keeper. Buendia did the same not long after. Sancho has done okay but the only real player showing any real quality is Bogarde.

Who was marking the goalscorer?
Mings and Torres were marking each other and one of them scored.

if our forward players were clinical enough then it would be 4-1 now. It's composure in front of goal that is the problem here

Is that another conceded from the oppositions first shot?

No, they had a few shots before that.

First on target although there was the one that trickled to Martinez to pick up which might count.

Watching their goal back I don't think whoever is on VAR understands the offside law.

Yep. They only looked at the attacker and not the part in the rules which states

Quote
Being in an offside position is not an offense itself; it only becomes an offense if the player interferes with play, gains an advantage, or interferes with an opponent

Yeah, I was thinking of that one plus a couple that missed by miles.

They're absolute Blose, almost literally, they have a fella on-loan from County Derby. We'll win handily, 4-1.

The ref has given 2 or 3 really soft freekicks to GAE - and they've scored from one: it's almost like he was feeling sorry for the home side. Terrible reffing.
That aside, we should have been home and hosed before that.

Bit of a stretch to lay the blame at the ref!

Confident we’ll go on to win but no biggie if we don’t.

This is what happens when you don't take your chances - we should be at the airport by now.

We should have been 4 up and could still hopefully have four at the end of the 90. But the VAR lino definitely screwed up by not judging on the impeding offside players and only checking the scorer.

The point was simply that he's giving lots of soft freekicks - and has just done so in the second half (against Buendia).

The chance for Watkins deflected off a defender, taking it back to the keeper.
