By my calculations we are paying GBP160,000 a week for Sancho. Not value for money.
Spoiler for Hiden:
Premier League to fast and physical for him.
Spend money elsewhere.

I wonder if he might come to that conclusion himself. I feel for him a bit this morning.

I think that's it. He's better suited to a less physical league. He definitely doesn't strike me as someone who doesn't care or try, but he does get completely overpowered and nullified in a physical game and especially when it becomes chaotic.

He's a better starter than finisher too. Usually shit off the bench, in all honesty. Helps control the game from the beginning.

To my eyes, losing the ball for the second goal was 100% down to his error for the first.  He was trying to create something to make up for it, and got caught in the centre of the field, where he should not have been dribbling.  I don't think he's there doing that if he hadn't lost the ball for the first. That's a pretty significant mistake in a tactical system like ours.

I like that Unai protected him publicly, but I also hope that behind closed doors, it was made clear that compounding your first error with a second one is not the way to ingratiate yourself with Unai.

TBF it was a really good tackle by Le Fee on par with the Ballard one on Ollie. If one of our midfielders had made that challenge it would have been applauded with no mention of a mistake from their player.

He isn't the only one to come on and look like an amateur, Ross B and Onana have also had nightmares off the bench admittedly not quite as potentially expensive!

If Sancho hadn't been largely gash all season then he could probably be forgiven his errors yesterday. He has been gash though and his attitude has been pretty average all season too.

They are strong physical team they made some good tackles through the game.  There is a reason they have done well this season.  However second half we controlled the game until 85 minutes, then it was all shits and giggles and minor heart attacks

I think how easily he gets pushed off the ball (same with Bailey and often Buendia as well) is why we keep try to find a more physical option for that role: Zaniolo, Ascensio and Guessand are all MUCH stronger than those 3 and have been tried to give us a physical presence out wide. McGinn isn't so big but does the job really well because he has the arse of the gods.

Someone mentioned Madueke on the transfer thread, whilst I think that would be unlikely I believe we were interested in him at Chelsea and you could absoultely see him fitting that profile.

Another one I think we had genuine interest in but hasn't set the world alight is Elanga, but I think he'd actually suit us and they look set for a fire sale.

Elanga has amazing pace - other than that, not sure there's a great deal else, but I'd back Unai to improve him.

how do we know his attitude has been gash? perhaps it's a lack of confidence?

I think if his attitude was poor he'd be nowhere near the team. It's not that, it's confidence, and you can't teach that.

Think his overall attitude has been pretty exemplary, to be honest. There are things you can take issue with on the pitch, but he hasn't been a hanger-on.

I don[t think we'll be in the market for someone like that for this role and we've already grabbed Alysson who fits the profile but based on what Emery likes from players and the price range we're looking at my best guess would be Osorio at Midtjylland, I think he's exactly the sort of profile we'd be looking at and he's apparently been watched by a few premier league clubs recently and would be gettable for £10-15m I reckon.

There will be much better and cheaper options than Sancho in the summer. He's been pretty shit at all the English clubs he has been with.

You don't need to have confidence to have courage. Sancho has all the talent in the world but no heart.
