I would imagine his wages are 5 + times Bogarde which puts into perspective the value for money argument.

I reckon you might even be underestimating there.

But his current wages are irrelevant - he's not going to be getting close to his current wages either with us or somewhere else at his next club.

Very attractive from a PSR point of view getting someone in on a free like what we did with Kamara and Tielemans. So I'd say Sancho will knock a very decent contract out of his next gig in the summer.

Maybe Emery can get some bit of a tune out of him for the next few months. We can't keep relying on Rogers and Buendia to a lesser degree.

Someone, somewhere, will be willing to give Sancho big money.  Not '£300k a week like he's on now' big, but I'd be amazed if he signs for anyone on a free for less than £150k.  More likely £200k including a signing bonus.  His reputation and age alone will means someone will take a punt, probably in Germany where he excelled previously.

I'll be even more surprised if we're the ones who sign him.  Unless he has some sort of renaissance in the second half of the season, having been successfully (and finally) converted to Emery-ball.  Who knows...

Yep, he seems happy, and has positive things to say about Emery. If he keeps improving and making the most of his talent there's a place. But he has an awful lot of work to do first.

I dunno about that. In Germany, for example, there's only really Dortmund and Bayern who pay that sort of money and I don't think either of them would be that interested, similar in most other countries in Europe where there's only really the champions league regulars who are offering much over 100k a week to anyone. A big part of the reason why English teams find it hard to move players on at times is because the wages here are so much higher for mid-table players. £120-150k feels like the sort of figure where he'll have offers.

I reckon Dortmund would be quite to happy to go for round three and would probably pay him his 150k per week and bung him quite a few million on top given there'd be no transfer fee, which would probably equate to around £200k pw overall.

Dortmund may well be interested, but to drive his wages up towards being their highest earner they'd need an incentive to offer that, such as needing to outbid someone else and I don't see who else would be both interested and able to put up 200k a week. Maybe that changes if he is exceptional for the next 4-5 months but it would still be a gamble for most clubs, either because he'd be a squad player at most or because he'd be earning well above their normal wage range.

Of course the US or Saudi may well be an option that creates some demand but if he's willing to take those sort of offers at this point in his career then it just reinforces the idea that he'd be a big risk for most European clubs.
