Lost possession almost every time he had the ball.
Does not tackle and does not like getting physical.
Brings nothing to the table and is being carried by good players around him.
For as much as i want him to do well i can't see it.
Get rid

I didn’t think he was that bad tonight, especially first half.

Yeah he’s mostly just steady without doing too much that’s remembered in a positive way. The mistakes are more memorable, such as the second half volleyed pass to one of their players to set them on the attack in the final third.

Is that the one where he was blaming other players for not running into space to get the ball? Then walked back in slowly and only reacting when the ball came out to the edge of the area to a player he could have been marking if he had run back. Then when the final shot went wide, seemed to moan at the other players again. He was subbed straight after I think.

The incident late on where he was running to keep the ball in play with a Basel player chasing him down, he could have easily kept the ball alive but he was so preoccupied with the player behind him, he shit himself and quite pathetically let the ball run out for a throw in. Totally gutless and summed up him his time with us perfectly.

My main frustration is he is so one footed (right) and plays on the left so no matter how promising the position the defenders show him inside and the move peters out.

Andy Townsend on co-comm called him out at one point in the second half for "looking over his shoulder" when he let a ball right in front of Emery run out of play to avoid a contest with their defender. I'm struggling to think of a more cowardly player in a Villa shirt. Bailey certainly wasn't the bravest but Sancho is in a league of his own.

His Man City chance springs to mind.

I agree with you about Sancho, but not Bailey.  The season we finished fourth, Bailey was nothing short of a leader on the pitch, and off it too.
