I've never been so glad to see an international break.

I really think the club have mismanaged the close season. Emi should've have gone after all those crocodile tears immediately. And anyone else who didn't fancy it should have been booted as well. Get the money, fuck them off.
As it is we are neither here nor there and it looked like it tonight, throughout the club.

There is a chance to reset, to start the season again, but it may be that before we see Christmas there will be more changes the likes of which we would've never contemplated in April.

I agree with that, but those players probably were up for sale and everyone was happy to wait it out because they knew we had to sell, and any player would be fair game until 7pm tomorrow.

A bit surprised that ‘Rogers needs a rest’ ( Paul.S above).
Why?

I could say dropped but the word rest seems a big kinder.

Ah, got you!
A bit of a concern, just 3 matches into a new season.
Perhaps he misses JJ. Perhaps they all do.
I hope they use the international break to reset their collective mojo.

He may miss him off it but Ramsey didn’t play much of the last 2 seasons so definitely not on the pitch. He’s a professional footballer who should be used to players moving in and out.
We do need the break but we definitely need additions to help Emery.
We are only 3 games in so it’s far from a panic but if there are sulkers in the squad then get rid.
JJ used to appear as super sub to give a boost, and we certainly needed something more, today.
I’m hoping for an inspiring addition tomorrow to have a similar effect.

I dont think there is any mismanagement.  I think its the impossible job - i.e. you have to generate x million, and ideally more as we would like a bit of a rejig.

Then - the whole world says - fuck me these guys are desperate to sell due to the rules - and we've spent the rest of the summer trying with (maybe) 10 players who we would let go for the right pirce - but equally 10 players who we would be happy if they were still here next season.

People keep saying Emi should have gone at the start of the window - but where? All we got was a derisory loan offer from ManUre.

There is not another sport, another industry, in any sector, where you are not allowed to invest in your business.
The utterly ridiculous, arbitrary rules that we are operating under are actually damaging the club and putting us at more risk of financial meltdown than if we were allowed to spend and invest.

That said, no amount of money will turn Matty Cash into an effective full back.

Well quite, so I think it’s more to his “team” you either go now (June/July) or you are not going. We cannot be selling/considering selling our main keeper on the last day of the window.

Tell everyone he's for sale, fuck him off to the old bomb squad, send him to Coventry but don't let him ask to leave 24hrs before the window shuts.

I never bought the tears and wasn't fussed if he went but him going at this late stage has not helped an already rotten start.

Tonight's tv schedule

BBC1 - Match of the Day
BBC 2 - Misery

Amounts to pretty much the same thing.

What sort of offer do we think we'll be getting tomorrow, in these circumstances, then?

Let’s all stay calm. We’ve lost our first home game for a year in the league ffs.

No offence but that is abit if a put your head in the sand approach. The last four performances have been a complete and utter shambles.  There has been zero positives none from any of them.we look like we could have been playing for 90 days today and we wouldnt score. Its a real worry

Two of those matches, we’ve played with 10 men. One against a team we rarely beat and admittedly poor performance against Brentford. Time to wear our big boy pants and stop crying.
Maybe that should be directed at the cowards on display in the field. Unless you are happy with the shit show on display where we look every inch a relegation fodder team.
