Sloppy, lethargic crap - we look like we just started pre-season. Bizot looks great, thankfully.

Unbalanced formation. No width and Tielemans and Togers out of position. Only really suits McGinn. Battled hard against a physical side with a high press which stopped us building from the back.

Sounds uncomfortable.

Not going up the right channels at all...

He’s made a right balls of that post.

The performance so far is certainly bollocks...

Absolutely  atrocious  performance  so far. One of the worst 1st half passing displays ive seen at home for years.

Painful watching at times. Only biz leaves with any  credit. Surely he has to change  this straight away

Zero shots on goal in the first half for the first time since March 22 according to Sky Sports.

Agree - in way it is the start of pre-season as the actual pre-season didn't really work as a set up for the season.

Oh my God. What a poor first half - fucking depressing that was. All the hype!
I’m on a cruise in the middle of the Mediterranean and thankfully there is a Sports bar and it’s full of wanker reds (not from Liverpool of course).
I watched the entertainment of their match last night compared to the crap just served up by us. SUE needs a haircut too.
Urggghhh please don’t let them win lads or a 0-0.

At least we haven't conceded. Bizot played well.

Well we got away with that so far. Seem to be half a yard of the pace right across the park.

They’ve played aggressively and we’ve barely been about to string 3 passes together. We lose possession too easily.

Watkins isolated, Teilemans and McGinn in particular have been sloppy.

Aston Villa are the first team to not have a shot in the first half of a Premier League home game since Fulham v Man City in May 2024 (never happened last season)

On a positive note, we have often conceded early against Newcastle me thinks, this time we have not.

No one comes out of that with much credit, Bizot aside. Lucky to be level. We’re too slow and we’re giving it away far too much.
