To put it mildly we have been abysmal.

Replica of the last day of last season, we are very lucky to be going in at 0-0.

We have no control whatsoever in the game so we badly need to get some pace on the pitch. Not sure how long Guessand can manage but there is no excuse not to get Maatsen and Malen on, they've been in our set up long enough and need to be trusted given how bad the starting 11 has been.

And pre-season optimism quickly evaporates - were lucky Isak is on strike!

Unbalanced formation. No width and Tielemans and Togers out of position. Only really suits McGinn. Battled hard against a physical side with a high press which stopped us building from the back.

Malen or Guessand on please. Need some pace to quicken this up. Too pedestrian which is making things too easy for them. They have all the time in the world to set themselves up desensively and our passing is too shit to play through them.

Some terrible basics especially passing.

Bizot only player with credit there - the rest miles off it. I thought before the game it was a mistake to try and compete with them in midfield and nothing has changed my mind. We should be trying to bypass their midfield - and the limited pace we have is on the bench.

Really poor, have to be loads better in the second half.

Sounds uncomfortable.

After a pre-season with Nice and a couple of weeks with us he shouldn't physically be much different from the rest of them.

If this doesn't get significantly better in the second half it will call into question the way we spent pre season.

Made for Guessand's strength and Malen's movement. Get Onana and Rogers off.

Right, we were utter shit that half. Against a team sharper in the finish we could be buried already. But we aren't, we've got away with it and have a second chance

Got a feeling words are being spoken in a Basque accent right now...

Not at it at all. Very poor passing and link up. For me pre-season wasn't the best especially the decision to do two games in two different countries last weekend and not really playing enough with the likely starting/match day squad. So we look like we haven't played with each other for a while...
