Same as Martinez at Man United but why not just rugby tackle/hold them? Yellow card then, crazy high challenge that even our ref couldn't ignore.

So who are we playing v Man City on the last day of this season then?!?!

Bound to be a lot riding on that. Who can we trust not to do something stupid?
Think we can trust the world cup winning keeper for that one...  Reckon lightening doesnt strike twice.

People standing to clap him off after the red card. Some things don't change.

Given that Newcastle weren't carving out great chances, he'd have been better to let the player go past and then go out for the second half at 1-1.

Assuming that they would have scored from the opportunity. He was heading wide and still a good way out so not a given.

He’s let us down today, but not sure there’s much value in not supporting him post game. He made a really bad error, it can happen. Notwithstanding Bailey’s poor pass, I don’t understand why we were so open given the stage of the game.

On the positive side, he did provide me with a good line for my dad.

(him: “Martinez is coming on”, me “that’s good, he’s not likely to do anything rash like that”)

Still credit in the bank. Keepers screw up now and then.

He's fine.

He made a grave error but it happens. Not rushing out and waiting to see how it spans out would have been better and even at worst 1-1 at HT would have been ok but.....

We know Unai doesn't like keepers going up for late corners, maybe he can tell them not to bring down players by the halfway line as well.

He's used up a lot of that credit, though.

Tonight's total loss of composure was worth about three of your bog standard flaps at corners.
