He's been superb, top man, that save first half was brilliant.

As back up keepers go he is certainly top drawer.
And what a fantastic, instinctive, save in the first half

One howler aside (FA cup v Newcastle), he’s been extremely competent and professional, clearly has a good relationship with Emi too, they work as a goalkeeping unit, which is tremendous.

PS This is some squad we have, when we even love the back up goalie!

Always feel safer with him than Olsen, good solid No2, no issue when he steps in

Happy with him for another season, but we really need to start seeing some of the younger keepers make an impression. He's 35, and while i know keepers can maintain a level for longer than outfield players, we need to have a succession plan.

Wasn't he MOTM against Feyenoord away?

Olsen or A.N Other in goal, lose that, nd the season could've been quite different.

Emi seems to miss more games than the average keeper. So having a backup of this calibre is vital for us.

Amazed that MotD didn't bother to show Marco's excellent first-half stop that kept us in the game.

What was the thinking behind that?

Indeed. Probably would have ended our trophy drought two years ago in the UCL had we had Bizot to come in v Olympiacos.

Time saving. There was 20 matches to cover and a relegation, several managers leaving and the champions being officially crowned to cover as well. They do have it in their website highlights though.

Yep, I was going to write 20 teams/10 matches and then got distracted. But the main point is this is the only MOTD that is so filled so things have to be cut down even more then normal.

He said that guard of honour thing was ridiculous, which was spot on, so not entirely useless 😂
