As petty as the discussion is, and obviously the site mods can do what the hell want with what is or isn’t permitted, I don’t understand the rationale or reluctance to sticky the thread for the women’s team.
They are part of the club, they carry the name, they wear the kit, they play at the same stadium, they train at the same facility.

What’s the difference between the women’s team thread being stickied and the  reserve and academy thread being stickied ?

Is there any reason why "Betting" is pinned in "Sports Arena"? Firstly, it seems an odd one to be promoting. Secondly, hardly anyone ever posts in it anyway.

They might be nothing to do with the club by the end of the month - we'd be in a farcical position when Aston Villa Women FC could theoretically set up a men's team, Aston Villa Women's Men's team, which in turn they could sell!

The women's team ought to be pinned, really. It doesn't hurt anybody and there's no real reason not to.

Another vote for the Women's thread to be pinned. I don't understand the rationale of which threads are pinned, and which are not. However, a thread which will by it's very nature, be returned to throughout the season, rather than gradually losing it's relevance, seems appropriate to be pinned.

If there's enough interest it will stay at the top of the board anyway. The summer transfer thread isn't even pinned this summer, so not really a need at the moment.

So why pin anything, then, on that basis? It's a bad look that women are considered irrelevant compared to boys.

I'm not particularly interested in the women's team but I can see the rationale in having pinned threads for the academy and women's parts of the club.

They wear the colours, they represent our club. It’s nice to see how they are doing even if I prioritise the men’s team. Should be pinned.
