Exactly. If that came off a Forest defender, who then cleared the ball, would he not award a penalty? Likewise, would he have overruled VAR and seventy thousand baying Yenitid fans and awarded that goal to Forest? We know the answer because we've seen in so many times over the years.

I think that's poor from the VAR to ask the ref to go to the screen. If the decision had been to disallow it, then you would send them to the screen to overturn. But it's wasted three minutes, ultimately the right decision though.

Disgusting decision, he controlled the ball with his arm the defender would have been in to clear, this gut should never be allowed to ref a prem game again. Once he was sent to see the foul everyone in the ground would have been thinking disallowed.
