The day after we relegated them The Observer – then a broadsheet, had a full page photo of the back of Juan Pablo in front of The Holte, arms aloft, surname across his shirt and facing the crowd. The headline was “Angel of Death”

I've still got that horrendous pink Diadora home top from that game, might have to dig it out when we play them next season just to trigger some PTSD amongst the batch-munchers.

What is it with the cult of 'Pep' with these commentators? They seem to have cut away to him siting in the stand as much as covering the game. They are so far up Citeh's backside, you can only just see their toes.

Salah for Villa?

He’s probably going to get £500k a week in the UAE or Saudi Arabia.

Yep I was totally serious and not being facetious on his penalty miss meaning he would be perfect for us.

Given our record at Citeh, we deffo need to be Chumps-League assured before our last game of the season.

Don't worry, we will be. The 5-1 thumping of Liverpool the week before will seal it.

Yep fair enough. Although we don’t get penalties so we wouldn’t need him for that anyway. We should also target long term injury candidates. They’d fit right in too.

Great day that was. I was in the Doug Elis by the Cov fans (lower North at the time). They were in absolute party mode at half time. Really giving it to us on both sides. Once Merson curled that glorious winner in it was bedlam and they were, naturally, completely silent. I think it was a few minutes from the end? But a great few minutes of devastating abuse 😂

Didn't Liverpool actually start grinding out results when Salah was away at AFCON? Just drop him again. I could be misremembering, though.

Or them to be too far off Arsenal to win it so resting.

It’s likely Emi is off this summer, James Trafford could do with a club where he gets a starting spot. He seems a very competent keeper.
