The Port Vale chief executive was on radio earlier suggesting they would have sold more if they hadn't only gone through on Tuesday

It’s a shame that Port Vale can’t get a full house for an FA cup game at home to a PL club. Loads of empty seats

They referred to this in 5 Live earlier. They said their chairman said it was annoying they only had 3 days to sell tickets after beating Bristol City in their replay midweek. No idea why they had a replay as I thought all ties were decided on the day now.

Anyway he said it was too short a gap to sell all their tickets and given where that are it Ian annoying missed opportunity to fill the coffers.

It wasn’t a repla, the first original game was postponed.

He's lucky as fuck if he's got away with a yellow there.

Surely the keeper challenged studs up…isn’t that reckless?

Just because there is a defender in the vicinity doesn't mean it isn't a clear, goalscoring opportunity. On that basis, Bizot should have stayed on in the last round.

That should have been a red. The only reason the Vale player's touch took him a bit wide was that the keeper's lunge at him took him that way. Terrible refereeing.

Plus, the test is whether a goal scoring opportunity was denied, which it was. The test is not whether a goal would have obviously been scored.

I am finding second hand Villa Cupism watching Sunderland be utterly woeful.

Port Vale through, so at least we know who Arsenal are getting in the next round.

Didn’t they knock us out en route to the final?

I'd forgotten that. Beat us in a replay at VP. From recollection, we'd been 2-0 up at the Dell before conceding two late goals.

Well done Vale. You can now start planning your trip to Chelsea in the QF.

It was 1-1.
